Dave Grohl, this guy continues to inspire me since i first listened to Nirvana. Not the best of drummers but his energy is pretty nuts! Multi talented he fronts for Foo Fighters and also joined John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age to create super band Them Crooked Vultures.
John Blackwell was my inspiration to work on technique. He's known as the drummer of Prince. He sadly passed away earlier this year
Neal Pearts DVD 'Atomony of a Drum Solo' was one of the first drum DVD's I bought. His hybrid drum kit set up is wild getting him a wide range sounds.
